How long can I extend the registration of my domain name? Print

You can legally own a domain name up to a maximum of 10 years. If your domain is having less than a year before it expires, you can extend the registration for up to another 9 years. You simply add time to your existing registration term…and you can do this at any time. More important, especially if the domain name is an integral part of your Internet identity, you don't have to worry each year about losing this prized asset and having someone else claim it
